Lana Jaggi we elected as the Village Clerk on September 15, 2009. The Clerk’s position is elected every two years.

The Clerk’s Municipal Building office hours are from 8:30 a.m. until 4:40 p.m., Monday thru Friday. You can email Ms. Jaggi at ljaggi@mackinawcity.org

The office of the Clerks deals with vital areas of the Village operations such as:
-Maintaining all Village records
-Municipal license
-Serving as Clerk of the Village Council, recording all proceedings, resolutions, and ordinances
-Serving as General Accountant/Accounts Receivable and Payable
-Recording and posting all financial transactions for the Village
-Responding to all citizen concerns and F.O.I.A. Requests
-Village elections
Specific duties are outlined in the General Law Act 3 1895 Handbook-64.5 thru 64.8

All communications, petitions, etc. must be in the office of the Village Clerk by 12 o’clock noon on the Tuesday proceeding the first and third Thursday of every month to be on the Council Agenda.

Village elections with be held at the Municipal Building, 102. S. Huron Ave. Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Candidates filing nomination petitions and Affidavits of Identity must be in the Village Clerk office by 4:00 p.m. June 21, 2011-withdrawal deadline elapses at 4:00 p.m. June 24, 2011.
