WELCOME TO MACKINAW CITY!
We would like to welcome you as a new business owner to Mackinaw City. We always welcome new residents and businesses to our Village and would like to assist you in any way we can. We hope you enjoy Mackinaw City and we are glad you are here.
In this packet you will find some important information and permit applications that must be filed before you open to the public. Enclosed are a sign permit application, transient merchant permit, and an outdoor display permit.
The Transient Merchant License Application is necessary for all new businesses in their first year in Mackinaw City.
The Sign Permit Application is to be filled out with a picture or drawing of your intended sign.
The Merchant Outdoor Sales and Display Application should be filled out if you would like to apply to display items for sale outside of your business. Also included are the regulations for displaying items outside of your business. Please read these carefully since they are rather specific.
All of the above permits are filed at the Village Hall of Mackinaw City. We are located at the east end of Central Avenue, at 102 S. Huron Avenue. Call us at 231-436-5351 if you have any questions.
