The Economic Development Corporation (EDC) works collaboratively with community partners to support businesses, create a diversified economy, and promote our natural and historic resources.

The purpose of the EDC is to alleviate and prevent conditions of unemployment, to assist and retain local industries and commercial enterprises, to strengthen and revitalize the economy of the Village of Mackinaw City, to provide means and methods for the encouragement and assistance of industrial and commercial enterprises in locating, purchasing, constructing, reconstructing, modernizing, improving, maintaining, repairing, furnishing, equipping, and expanding in the Village of Mackinaw City, to encourage the location and expansion of commercial enterprises in the Village of Mackinaw City, to more conveniently provide needed services and facilities to the commercial enterprises in the Village of Mackinaw City and its residents.

Meetings:
The EDC meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday, every other month at 4:00 p.m. in January, March, May, July, September, and November.  Please call 231-436-5351 for a schedule of possible special meetings.
